HSD Appreciates the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation
Hamburg School District would like to announce the support of the Carl B. & Florence E. King
Foundation. The King Foundation has awarded more than $60 million in grants since 1966. Since 2009, non-profit organizations located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and defined portions of West Texas along with Eastern and Southern Arkansas have been the primary focus of the King Foundation. Education, children, youth, the arts, culture, history and aging population are some of the areas of focus of the King Foundation for consideration of funding.
In December, the Hamburg School District received a $30,000 grant from the King Foundation to support the Arkansas A+ Program at Portland Elementary, Noble/Allbritton Elementary, and Hamburg Middle School. As part of the A+ program, this grant will be used to integrate the arts in all curriculum areas at the awarded schools, as well as provide cultural experiences for the students. Hamburg School District would like to publicly thank the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation for supporting our schools.
