What a student learns at home is just as important as what they learn in school. Working with a gifted student at home presents different challenges than simply helping with homework. The resources below are a mix of paid and free resources for having fun with your child while encouraging critical thinking and creativity. Many of the activities can involve the whole family.

GirlStart is an organization and website geared towards engaging girls in STEM fields. While they are based in Houston making the the on-site activities unavailable, they have many downloadable activities and guides to engage the whole family. Girls and boys can enjoy the many activities such as creating edible dinosaur DNA modelsteabag rockets, or creating a moving model of the human hand!

If you prefer the convenience of having a STEAM activity delivered to your door, KiwiCrate may be for you. They offer a regular subscription service to boxes of activities for different age groups. Crates are available for ages 3 and up. the crates come with all the materials necessary, complete instructions, and tips for expanding on the skills learned.
