HSD ATLAS Testing Schedule

A Message from Mr. Sullivan:

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful spring break! We are in probably the busiest time of the school year now.

We started our state ATLAS testing today. I personally want to encourage all of our students to do their best on these test. We want to be able to see all of the hard work that our students, teachers, and staff have been working so hard towards. These test are serious, not only for your student on the state level, but also our school district. We want to be able to show our community and the state, our growth and achievement for all buildings. I am excited to say there are growth incentives at all campuses to help encourage our students.

Parents, I want to encourage you to help cheer these students on. Let them know that they can do this. Help them to truly believe in themselves that they are smart and capable of excelling on these test; and to try their hardest. Please help make sure that they get enough sleep at night, have a healthy, nutritional breakfast, and arrive at school on-time.

Let's buckle up, and finish the school year strong! We've got this students, teachers, and staff!

Sincerely,
Mr. Sullivan

Pre-K

Pre-K students returned from spring break refreshed, recharged, and ready to explore all the joys of spring! 🌸
On April 17, we’re excited to celebrate Arkansas Children’s Week from 8:30-10:00 with fun-filled activities for our students and families. This special event will bring our community together as we partner with Hamburg High School East and the band, as well as Hamburg Middle School Music.
We’re also grateful for the support of our amazing volunteers from Twin Cedar Ponies, U of A Extension Service, Lake Chicot State Park, and Chartwells, who will help make the day engaging and memorable for everyone.
We can’t wait to celebrate, learn, and have fun together!

A display of various toys and games, including board games, plush toys, and activity kits, are arranged on black shelves.

Portland Elementary

We hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! April is devoted to completing ATLAS testing. Kindergarten, first, and second grade will be tested in small groups beginning April 13th. Third, fourth, and fifth grade will begin April 27th.

In honor of the Artemis II Mission, our theme is "Everyone has some 'SPACE' to grow on ATLAS."

Noble Elementary

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great Spring Break.

Noble students will take the End-of-Year ATLAS tests on April 14–16 and April 21–23. The first week will be Reading, and the second week will be Math. We have some exciting incentives planned for students who score on grade level (Level 3 or 4), as well as for students who show growth.

Please make this a priority in your home. Students need to arrive at school on time each day. Talk with your child about doing their very best. It’s also important that they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast before testing. Be sure to take advantage of the school’s free breakfast!

I’m proud of the hard work that has been done throughout the year to prepare for this moment—now it’s time for our students to shine!

Be on the lookout for a calendar of events that will be sent home soon. We have many exciting activities planned for the final months of school.

I would also like to recognize Mrs. Bri Rodgers for being selected as the Noble Elementary Teacher of the Year. The District Teacher of the Year will be announced at the April Board Meeting. We wish you the best of luck!

Allbritton Elementary

Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a fabulous Spring Break and is ready to begin our busiest time of year at school. With spring sports and all the warm weather activities, I know it can be hard to stay focused, but let’s give it our all and finish strong.

We have our ATLAS Summative Assessments beginning this month-our chance to show everyone how much we have grown this year. Please encourage your students to do their very best. All we ask is that they be just a little bit better than they were the last time we took the test. With everyone giving 100% effort, we can make a BIG difference for our school and our district.

We have a full calendar this month and next. Look for notifications through notes and on Parent Square about all we have going on. Our testing schedule is below:

Hamburg High School

Hello from Hamburg High School. April is going to be a busy month for us! Prom was held this past Saturday. We had a great turnout for the pre-prom dinner and then the dance.

Cheer tryouts were held on March 21st. Congratulations to our new cheer squad! HHS EAST Conference team won a Judges Choice Award at EAST Conference. They were 1 of 30 schools who received one of these awards, out of over 250 schools. Hannah Cossey received a Difference Maker pin! Each year at EAST Conference, EAST Leadership Team, and Board of Directors gives away 150 Difference Maker Awards to students for various reasons: presenting well, being seen performing an act of kindness, and many other notable acts.

Spring sports are in full swing! Come out and cheer on the Lions in baseball, softball, soccer, and track! Some of our students will be attending Skills USA in Hot Springs the week of April 13th. Good luck!

Join us for the HHS Choir Fundraiser of "The Masked Singer" on Saturday, April 25th! More details to follow!

It's hard to believe it's time, but our students are beginning to make schedules for next school year!
